19 June 2017, Lillestrøm, Norway
The sixth EuroPris Conference and Annual General Meeting will take place on 19 June in Lillestrøm, Norway, hosted by the Directorate of Norwegian Correctional Service (KDI). The EuroPris conference will focus on an issue that requires special attention within prison settings: Female Prisoners. The conference will also include presentations from and discussions with the EuroPris expert groups. The conference is open to all interested parties.
In the afternoon, the AGM will be open for (potential) members of EuroPris, members of the Criminal Justice Platform and representatives of the Council of Europe and the European Commission.
Due to some changes in the Board composition we will have Board positions open for (re-) election during this year’s AGM. Nominations for Board Member positions must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org and must reach the EuroPris head office latest by May 19, 2017. A valid nomination must be duly signed by the candidate being nominated, and include a short written statement about the candidate. The Executive Director will ensure that all eligible Members present at the General Meeting receive a ballot. The candidate(s) receiving the highest number of votes shall be elected.
Reception & Theatre Play
On Sunday May 18, EuroPris and KDI are inviting participants to join the reception at 7 pm. Before the reception, there will be a unique opportunity to view a theatre play at 6 pm, performed by Anna-Mari Laulumaa, called by “God is in my typewriter?”. This play has been performed in several female prisons. Find more information about the performance here.
The EuroPris event will precede the Council of Europe annual Conference of Directors of Prison and Probation Services, which takes place in Lillestrøm on 20-21 June. Both events will be held at the Directorate of Norwegian Correctional Service building.

For a stay in another hotel EuroPris members may ask for the reimbursement of actual hotel costs up to the maximum daily rate of 145 euros (1285 NOK) (equal to the preferred rate in the Thon hotel). Reimbursement for EuroPris members
Reimbursement for travel tickets is offered to 2 participants per EuroPris member jurisdiction. The participants book their own economy class tickets and the costs should be in the range of 350 Euro. Early flight bookings will help to keep the ticket prices at a reasonable level. If the ticket costs largely exceed this amount, please consult the organizers at email@example.com. Travel costs will be reimbursed through a declaration form which will be part of the workshop pack. For the reimbursement we will also need (a copy of) the ticket invoice and the boarding passes of both flights.
Should you have questions or you may need some clarification, do not hesitate to contact the EuroPris secretariat at firstname.lastname@example.org.
