A Directive on establishing minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime has been passed by the EU Parliament and Council of Europe. This Directive is legally binding on every member state and came into force on November 15, 2012 with a full final implementation date of November 16, 2015 for all member states to comply.
