Foreign national offenders continue to pose particular challenges to those who are working with them in the custodial and community setting. The workshop addresses interests and needs of experts from Prison, Probation and the voluntary sector and provides an opportunity to listen to and learn from practices of their European colleagues. In close co-operation with the Belgian Prison Service, the joint EuroPris and CEP Foreign National Prisoners Expert Group have organized a range of key note presenters from across Europe, including prison and probation practitioners, voluntary sector working with prisoners abroad as well as university lecturers and researchers.
Purpose:
To promote better national regulation and best practice for foreign national prisoners in Europe through contributing to a greater awareness of FNP issues and through improving the management, rehabilitation and resettlement needs of FNPs. The aim is to:
