EuroPris hosted a workshop in London on 24 – 25 April 2013 to bring together learning and expertise in the field of ICT in prisons.

Breakout groups during the workshop discussed 4 main topics:

1. Enterprise mobility,
2. electronic monitoring,
3. infrastructure for inmates and
4. offender management systems.

As a result of this meeting a number of experts visited their colleagues in other European countries to further their exchange of knowledge, information and practices. Since this topic is relevant across all National Prison Agencies, it was agreed that the expert group would further expand on these important topics through organised workshop activities.  The first ICT workshop was held on 24^th – 25^th April 2013 and attended by 40 ICT experts from across Europe.
