ERA-Mutual Legal Assistance in Countering Terrorism and Exchanging Information
Madrid, 9 – 10 February 2017
This first seminar in a series of four co-funded by the European Commission on issues related to countering terrorism and preventing radicalisation in prisons will focus on mutual legal assistance in countering terrorism and exchanging information. The new fourth AML Directive as well as the latest EU Action Plan for strengthening the fight against terrorist financing will also be analysed.
The use and functioning of the European Criminal Records Information System (ECRIS) will also be explained, as well as moves towards improving its use in relation to the exchange of information on non-EU nationals.
