On 5 & 6 of June EuroPris organised a workshop for prison professionals on staff recruitment in Berlin, Germany. The workshop was a 1,5 day event starting in the morning on 5 June and ending with lunch on 6 June. It was open for prison professionals only with a maximum two participants per organisation and it was kindly hosted by the Federal Ministry of Justice in Berlin.
The workshop was interactive, combining presentations from a variety of European jurisdictions with (moderated) discussions between the participants and with the speakers.

The workshop is open for prison professionals only, with a maximum of two participants per organisation.
The event is directed to managers and experts involved in strategic communication, human resources, staff training and staff recruitment. Prison governors and other operational managers may also benefit from the content.
The meeting will take place in the Federal Ministry of Justice, Mohrenstrasse 37, 10117 Berlin, Germany
Thursday, 6 June, starting around 14:00 there is the opportunity to visit two Berlin prisons (one open institution – JVA des Offenen Vollzug Berlin – and a closed one – JVA Plötzensee). Each group of visitors can be max. 20 people.
For each visit the name, date of birth and passport-number of each visitor is required at least a week before the visit. An email to collect this information will be sent out to all the participants of the workshop after the registration deadline passes.
All participants make their own hotel reservations.

The hotel can accept reservations after the release date depending on availability and price-quotation.
EuroPris members can request reimbursement for actual travel and accommodation costs.
The reimbursement is limited to 500 Euro per EuroPris member and can be requested for one or more experts as long as it does not exceed the 500 Euro limit per member jurisdiction (not per participant).
In 2019, the reimbursement is limited to a maximum of two events per EuroPris member per year.
