The way prisons are portrayed in media\, political discourse\, and public conversation directly shapes who applies to work in them\, and who does not. \nYet the corrections sector has a story worth telling. Prison services across Europe are doing genuinely innovative\, humane\, and effective work\, work that rarely reaches public consciousness\, and that is seldom reflected in the narratives that shape recruitment.
