The European Organisation of Prison and Correctional Services is looking for a Finance Officer.
The closing date for the application is 24 March 2023.
Are you looking for a part-time job where you can develop your skills under flexible work conditions? Would you like to be part of a smaller team and have a broader responsibility for the finances of the organisation? Then you may be our next Finance Officer.
EuroPris is a young organisation with a young team. The organisation was founded in 2011 to connect European prison services and provide a platform for exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of corrections. Our vision is improved public safety and security in Europe, through better detention standards and prison practice. We inspire prison services to better performance, more humane treatment of prisoners and improved work conditions for staff.
35 prison services are members of EuroPris, and the network covers all parts of Europe. We are the contact point for information about European prisons and for organising practice-oriented events on a variety of prison related issues. EuroPris is also linked to the European Commission and has an observer status at the Penological Council of the Council of Europe.
For our office in The Hague, we are now looking for a Financial Officer, a central role in the organisation. You will be working with highly skilled and experienced colleagues. Your role is to be “the spider in the web”. With timely and accurate financial management you facilitate for the organisation to operate effectively. You will make payments, banking and book keeping, but also create management reports and advice the Board and Executive Director on finance and HR matters.
EuroPris is in a phase of consolidation. As the new Financial Officer you will contribute not only to the daily operations, but also to setting standards by developing templates and routines within the responsibilities of your position. You will also be involved in the long term development of EuroPris.
