Submitting a KMS

Each EuroPris member has a designated KMS Point of Contact who is responsible for submitting Knowledge Management System (KMS) queries and responses on behalf of their prison service. This approach ensures a streamlined and organised process, allowing resources to be managed by an appointed individual who can coordinate responses within the organisation. By assigning this role, members benefit from a structured submission process, where relevant data and insights are gathered efficiently and accurately by a dedicated contact.

Steps for Submitting a KMS Query

  • Identify Your Point of Contact: If you would like to submit a KMS, reach out to your international department to obtain the KMS Point of Contact details for your prison administration.

  • Prepare and Structure Your Query: Each KMS submission includes an introduction section to provide background and context. This helps members structure their responses effectively.

  • Formulate Questions Carefully: Limit your KMS query to 5-8 questions. This keeps submissions straightforward, enabling concise and clear answers without overwhelming respondents.

  • Allow Sufficient Time for Responses: KMS submissions are typically given a deadline of three weeks. This provides ample time for members to gather the necessary information and submit thoughtful, comprehensive responses.

By following these steps, members can ensure an organised and effective submission process that enhances the collective knowledge and insights of the network.
