The 8th EuroPris Annual General Meeting will be organised in Ayia Napa, Cyprus on 20 May 2019. The Conference is kindly hosted by the Cyprus Prisons Department.
The EuroPris event will precede the Council of Europe Annual Conference of Prison and Probation Directors (CDPPS) on 21-22 May.
Due to some changes in the Board composition, we will have Board positions open for election during this year’s AGM. Nominations for Board Member positions must be submitted to the Executive Director, Kirsten Hawlitschek at [email protected] and must reach the EuroPris head office latest by April 22, 2019. A valid nomination must be duly signed by the candidate being nominated, and include a short written statement about the candidate. The Executive Director will ensure that all eligible Members present at the General Meeting receive a ballot. The candidate(s) receiving the highest number of votes shall be elected.

Participants are invited to attend the welcome reception on 19 May at 7 pm, taking place in at the same venue as the conference. The EuroPris AGM will start on 20 May at 9 am and finish on the same day at 17:30 pm.

A restricted number of rooms have been pre-booked at Adams Beach Hotel and Christofinia Hotel for 4 nights (18, 19, 20 and 21 May 2019); participants are invited to reserve their room at their earliest convenience by using the following email addresses [email protected] for Adams Beach Hotel (€120 per night breakfast included) and [email protected] for Christofinia Hotel (€85 per night breakfast included). Please make your reservations early, the pre-booked rooms will be released after 24th of April 2019.
When making room reservation, in the subject line write EUROPRIS, indicating the reservation details (exact dates of accommodation, name and number of persons in each room, single or double).
There will be an information desk in the arrival hall, next to the information services at the Larnaca International Airport (http://www.hermesairports.com) to direct participants to the transport that is organised by the Cyprus Prison Department.
All the airport transfers to Ayia Napa are organised by the Cyprus Prisons Department.
For EuroPris members, EuroPris will cover the costs for hotel rooms for two nights from 19-21 May, for 2 participants per EuroPris member jurisdiction. For rooms needed at an earlier date or for a later departure, the costs cannot be covered.
Reimbursement for flight tickets is offered to 2 participants per EuroPris member jurisdiction. The participants book their own economy class tickets and the costs should be in the range of 350 Euro. Early flight bookings will help to keep the ticket prices at a reasonable level. If the ticket costs largely exceed this amount, please consult the organizers at [email protected].
EuroPris will reimburse only 50% of the ticket if the participant stays longer for participation at the CDPPS or for private purposes.
Travel costs will be reimbursed through a declaration form which you can download here. In order to be reimbursed, the participants have to submit (a copy of) the ticket invoice and the boarding passes of both flights together with the cost declaration form after the event.
