Report: Children of Prisoners Implementation Guidance (2021) & Covid Chapter (2022)

A report has been drafted by the expert group that focuses on four aspects in relation to the implementation of the Recommendation. The report is divided into four chapters with the following topics:

• Security and normalisation
• Relationship between ngo’s and Prison authorities
• Engagement with the Justice Family
• Child’s voice

Each of the chapter introduces specific aspects in relation to the topic, the current approaches,  implementation suggestions and general remarks.

In 2022, the EuroPris Children of Prisoners Expert Group worked on an additional Covid Chapter as an annex to the already existing Implementation Guidance Report which was already published in 2021. Every expert of this group described national actions in regard to Covid-19, which affected children and their families. The experts shared their experiences, practices and conclusions which they gained during the Covid-19-Pandemic in prisons.
