Introduction
The 14th EuroPris Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on 23 September 2025 in Krakow, Poland. This important event convened Director Generals and their deputies or liaisons to reflect on the evolving needs of members and to shape the future direction of the organisation. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Prison Service of Poland for their generous hospitality and support in hosting the meeting.
The AGM was held in advance of the Council of Europe’s annual Conference of Directors of Prison and Probation Services (CDPPS), which followed on 24–25 September. This year’s AGM centred on the exchange of knowledge and experiences among members. Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue with representatives from EuroPris Expert Groups on topics including staff wellbeing, organised crime, and the future of prisons. Updates were shared on current and upcoming projects, and the 2024 Annual Report was formally presented. The Board introduced its newly elected President, Vice President, and two new members. A key highlight of the meeting was the announcement of the winner of the 2025 Prison Achievement Award.
