Public
Events marked Public are open to a broader audience. Anyone who meets the target audience criteria may register. Further details, including eligibility, can be found on the individual event page.
Invite Only
Invite-only events are closed activities. Participation requires a specific invitation from the EuroPris Secretariat or an invitation shared internally within EuroPris member organisations (e.g., through Directors General or colleagues within the prison service).
EuroPris Members
Events tagged EuroPris Members are open exclusively to professionals working in prison services who are official members of EuroPris. Registration is available to individuals employed within these member services. This seminar is part of a five-event EU co-funded series on improving cross-border mutual legal assistance and recognition of detention-related decisions. It will focus on Framework Decision 909, exploring its provisions and the roles of the judiciary and legal professionals involved in issuing and executing measures across EU Member States.
The FD909 Expert Network Group will meet for an annual meeting to exchange knowledge and information relating to prisoner transfers.
The 15th EuroPris Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on 2 June 2026 in Malta, preceded by a welcome reception on 1 June. This annual gathering brings together Director Generals of European prison services, along with their deputies or appointed liaisons, to reflect on members’ evolving priorities and to shape the strategic direction of the organisation. This year’s AGM is organised in collaboration with the Correctional Services Agency of Malta. This event precedes the Council of Europe’s annual Conference of Directors of Prison and Probation Services (CDPPS).
This think tank is a focused online session bringing together practitioners to examine scenarios that influence public perception towards prison services and to identify the various strategies for effective communication and preparedness.

The EuroPris Board, composed of Heads of Service from European national prison services, meets in the Hague, home to where the EuroPris Secretariat is based in, to discuss the strategic direction, governance, and key initiatives of EuroPris. These meetings provide oversight, guidance, and decision-making on organisational priorities and activities.
The yearly gathering of the European Penitentiary Training Academies (EPTA) network, bringing together training institutes from across Europe to exchange practices, present new developments, and strengthen cooperation in prison staff training.
