EuroPris is uniquely an organisation of prison practitioners in Europe. We bring together practitioners in the prisons arena with the intention of promoting ethical and rights based imprisonment, exchanging best practices and providing expert assistance to support this agenda. EuroPris’ Expert Groups are targeted at advancing the operational capabilities and professionalism of prison and correction practitioners across Europe. Each Expert Group consists of 10 experts representing their member countries and are given a term of 2 years.
Expert Groups collaboratively assist in the collection, sharing and dissemination of information that provides value to EuroPris Members. As part of EuroPris’ commitment to assist prison services across Europe, we have composed since 2012 several expert groups on the following issues below. EuroPris Expert Networks are wider communities from specific fields. EuroPris currently facilitates two Expert Networks: The European Penitentiary Training Academies (EPTA) Network and the Framework Decision 909 (FD909) Network.
