The Corps of Prison and Court Guard has approximately 5,100 established positions for officers and 600 for civilian staff. Currently, 4,800 officer positions and 600 civilian positions are filled. The Corps of Prison and Court Guard operates 18 prison facilities, and currently holds around 8,000 individuals in custody.

Each staff member has access to a sports hall, gym, and sauna. Various multipurpose sports fields are available, where, among other activities, sports tournaments are organised to promote team spirit and improve physical condition.
Annually, the physical condition of Prison Officers is assessed through examinations and self-defence training. Each prison facility ensures direct medical care, with our doctors being available in a timely manner for every staff member. Regular preventive medical check-ups are also supported.
Each prison officer is assigned a primary care physician directly at the workplace. In case of any health issues, they can immediately seek medical assistance without the need to travel. Additionally, prison officers have priority access to hospitals, ensuring they are prioritised for specialist examinations. Prison officers are also entitled to an unlimited number of days for preventive health check-ups. This also applies to medical appointments where they accompany their children. Counselling services are available, provided by psychologists, social workers, and chaplains, contributing to the overall mental and emotional health of staff, thereby supporting their balance and wellbeing.
