The Hungarian Prison Service have approx. 11,000 employees. 28 prisons located across Hungary and circa 20,000 people in custody.
The Education, Training and Rehabilitation Centre of the Prison Service delivers structured, role-specific training and development for prison staff. Training is delivered through dedicated facilities, including conference and wellness centres in Pilisszentkereszt and Igal, and is supported by an internal training institute. The Centre offers a blend of theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and physical conditioning, with accommodation provided for trainees. Training is delivered both centrally and regionally, and includes e-learning.
