The Lithuanian Prison Service have approximately 2600 employees, 8 prisons and 9 Halfway houses located across Lithuania. (Halfway houses are places of detention where strict rules and control apply, as well as modern, effective resocialisation methods).

To ensure staff wellbeing and the effective implementation of the objectives and goals of the correctional system, the Lithuanian Prison Service provide a stress-related services – critical incident debriefing, professional counselling, staff training programmes. These programmes are based on modern training organisation principles and instructional methods.
